Outreach:

Lisa Singh is the co-founder of a Women's Coding group at GU. In the spring, this group had over 125 members that were actively participating in learning to code. Lisa Singh is also the adviser to the GU CS&Engineering Club. This past spring, this group began an after school coding program at a local middle school. They taught 10 students to code in Scratch. The program is continuing at the same school this fall.

Alex Pang. Problems and Research in Uncertainty Visualization. Ensemble Visualization and Parameter Space Analysis Workshop. March 23-24, 2014. Technische Universität München.

Alex Pang. Research Issues in Uncertainty Visualization. Uncertainty in Computation Workshop. Visioning workshop sponsored by the Computing Community Consortium. October, 2014. Washington DC.

FinNet: Teaching children biology and computational thinking. FinNet is a tool for for teaching middle and high school kids computer science and biology concepts using dolphin social networks. The tool consists of three focused learning modules and an explore section. It is a web-based tool that is free for students and teachers to use.

Georgetown University: CS4HS Workshop. This three-day workshop focused on helping teachers explore how to integrate computer science into their classrooms. Specifically, we developed curriculum around the Raspberry Pi device and focused on improving digital literacy using Raspberry Pi, Scratch, and Python.

Uncertainty Visualization: Techniques, Challenges and Directions, presented at the IEEE Visualization Tutorial Session held in Seattle on October 15, 2012.

Working with Uncertainty Workshop (organized by Alex Pang and Chris Johnson), held in conjunction with IEEE Visualization 2011 in Providence, Rhode Island.
